This is the second painting I have bought from this artist, and I am equally delighted with it. The two are very different, but Rod's love and appreciation of nature is evident in each. The depth of field in Brandon Park is wonderful, the small figure in the distance cleverly accentuating this. One feels drawn into the trees and beyond ........ Love it!

The whole experience of buying this painting has been fantastic. The communication was great and the delivery and packaging fantastic. Most importantly of all the painting is beautiful. So much better than on the website which really doesn't show the sense of movement in the water, the colours and the atmosphere of the painting. A really talented artist and I would wholly recommend his work.

I have been contemplating buying this painting for quite some time, but dithered. Stupid me! It is perfect. I absolutely love it and, I have to say, it is even more beautiful than I had expected. I realise it is difficult for the artists to photograph their work in a truly accurate way. The back lighting of a computer/tablet screen can distort, and the reality of the work is not always exactly as anticipated. It in this case, the painting was way beyond my expectations. Absolutely wonderful. I have bought so many artworks from Artfinder - this is one of my favourites. Rod is an extremely talented artist with an ability to depict light and shadow to brilliant effect. He has also been a pleasure to deal with and I have greatly enjoyed our exchanges.

I am a keen gardener and this artwork beautifully captures essences of my own garden. Sorry for a late review but my life was interrupted by a triple heart bypass operation.

Hi Andrew, Thanks for investing in one of my paintings and for your very kind review which is not late at all, but gratefully received. Sorry to hear about your triple, I had one 4years ago now and feel great, am able to do all the things I did before, so I hope yours is as successful. I personally feel that recovery has a lot to do with attitude of mind, and if you are a keen gardener like me then you are halfway there. I did find that they gave me too higher dose of blood pressure tablets, they seem to give a standard dose to everyone, which I noticed in hospital. I was making tea for the rest of the ward to give me something to do and I found out a lot talking to the others. I felt really useless and lifeless when I got home so I queried it with my heart nurse and she reduced the strength of the tablets, and from then on I was fine. Getting back to the garden , this is my 13th and I am trying to create a perfumed garden, as it is walled. I started this one 2 years ago and was lucky because there were no plants at all just grass surrounded by Lleylandii, so I just cut all the trees to ground level and started afresh.
