I have admired Peter Slade's work for quite some time now, and have often stared longingly at his incredibly lifelike pieces. His work celebrates whimsy, and for me in particular, a chance to relive my childhood in England. I grew up eating Mr. Kipling's Cherry Bakewells - one of my top five favorite treats - and this painting immediately gave me happy chills! It sent me back to a moment-in-time when I was carefree; when being able to take "A Bite of the Cherry" was peak-indulgence & joy. It should also be noted that the detail... being able to stare closely at the painting, then slowly moving backwards as the images come into focus is wondrous delight! Truly magnificent! Thank you so much Peter! I hope to enjoy many more of your pieces in the future.

Another beautiful painting from Art finder, We have just received our artwork from Peter Slade , It was delivered very quickly and very well packaged, Communication between artist and buyer is always flawless, The painting has taken pride of place in our sitting room, Where we can enjoy it the most.

I commissioned this piece and I love it! I can’t say enough good things about working with Peter; he was responsive and made sure that he knew what I wanted. I was concerned about doing everything online, across the pond, but when I saw the piece I was blown away! The peice was even delivered before the date that he promised. I highly recommend Peter and the Artfinder experience!

A simply stunning piece of work. When viewed from a short distance you are convinced you are looking at a photograph of a bowl of allsorts, then the magic appears as you move closer and realize this has been painted...by a master. The colour, the texture, the exuberance, the subtle shadings. Perfect. Thank you to the seller first for his talent, and for his flexibility in making this deal and shipping our the painting speedily and safely.
