There are many aspects of city life that can be captured in art--some are beautiful, some are cold and business-like and still others are absurd. I like Aleksandr's cities because they show warmth in the colors chosen, but they can also highlight a robotic isolation in the people who inhabit the cities. Even when they seem to be close in proximity to each other, they occasionally interact with one another and at other times, they don't. At least, that's what I see. Art is obviously interpreted differently by all people. Regardless, these paintings are fantastic to observe and fun to contemplate.

I have bought many artworks from Aleksandr and he is very consistent with his product. He protects his artworks the way a mother would send out her children to play in the snow--with layer upon layer upon layer of insulated protection. I've received many parcels from other artists that came with dented or torn packaging (due to the multiple shippers and delivery personnel handling the parcel), but Aleksandr's packaging is so thorough, the inner layers of cardboard are not at all damaged from the long journey to my home and the artwork always arrives in perfect condition. I marvel at the variety of ideas Aleksandr has--brightly colored abstracts, overcast, gray landscapes, introspective portraits...there is so much to like about his paintings. I expect I'll be buying his works for a long time.

Aleksandr perfectly captures the ambiance of what it's like to visit a European cafe. Two friends, huddled over a small table while a nearby waiter clears tables, people staring straight across from one another, engaged in conversation while others do the same in adjacent tables. These are beautiful snapshots of the sweeter part of life and I feel fortunate that Aleksandr took the time to capture these moments.

Whether it's his impressionistic cityscapes or his abstract shapes or photorealistic paintings of women, Aleksandr demonstrates his talent in many styles and many ways. The artworks were packaged extremely well and were delivered quickly (considering the military conflict in Ukraine). Aleksandr communicated with me and Artfinder also sent me an update when the package was shipped. The artworks are beautiful and arrived perfectly intact. The overall experience was fantastic. Lovely painting. Aleksandr was delightful to interact with. He let me know that the painting would be delayed because he had been forced to flee due to the presence of war in his hometown. The painting was worth waiting for (only a couple of weeks) and I'm glad I can support a talented young artist trying to make his art and make a living amidst the chaos in his country.
