This painting brilliantly evokes the images and humor of Pop Art, while demonstrating the refined technique of Lena Vylusk. Her love of nature and animals in particular, establishes a connection to the earth, even in her most curious and surreal images. "Selfie" is a funny depiction of luddite nostalgia using our understanding of future progress. The importance of capturing a special moment in time hints at the ubiquity of the mobile phone. I love this painting!

This painting is very special to me. It is whimsical but also personal. I had a little poodle mix puppy which looked very much like the one in the painting as well as I am a collector of stuffed bears, etc. Lena captures such feeling although it is simple.

Lenas artwork is truly amazing. So realistic and whimsical. I am honored to hang her paintings in my home. Lena has a true gift. Very well packaged and arrived within an acceptable time frame given the international shipping. My only complaint would be that the artworks smelled of smoke. But, that soon dissipated and certainly did not impact the beauty of the work. If I could give Lena ten stars I would, five is just not enough.

Lenas artwork is truly amazing. So realistic and whimsical. I am honored to hang her paintings in my home. Lena has a true gift.
