Lena’s paintings arrived exquisitely packaged and in a timely fashion, which is especially impressive coming from a country at war. I bought three of her whimsical works to show in my gallery as a means of introducing my US clients the resilience of Ukrainian artists.

Love this Painting, Great Qaulity and looks fab framed and up on my wall! This has been my second purchase on Artfinder and definitely not my last. I've dropped a star 🌟 for unexpected import taxes over and above shipping costs. This was due to the value cost of the contents, provided to the courier The previous artist I purchased from.via Artfinder used discretion with lowering the contents value cost on the courier paperwork, while still ensuring fragile care instructions during transit, which avoided additional import charges and delay. I was surprised not to recognise the artist signature on painting versus on Artfinder- apparently signature is in Cyrillic script and not English so name on artwork looks completely different to Artist name on Artfinder.

Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad that you liked my painting, unfortunately, I cannot be held responsible for taxes levied in the buyer's country for receiving the parcel, although I always try to help the recipient, you are right, my painting is signed in Ukrainian, in In light of the latest events taking place in my country, I am trying to identify myself as a Ukrainian and this is very important for me, I wish you good luck, Elena.

Lena's watercolors are as true to the medium as her oils are. There's a lack of obvious context in the backgrounds, but the stories are just as intriguing. I understand a very nuanced context when I gaze at them.
