First, let me say that the picture is beautiful and I received the item very quickly. But in looking at the picture in person, I can clearly see that the artist drew the trees in pencil prior to painting them. The artist painted the trees smaller in height and width so you can see pencil lines around the trees at the top of the painting. The other option would have been for the artist to have erased the pencil marks once the artistic decision was made to change their dimensions. So now every time I look at the painting I see pencil drawings all over the top of the painting which takes away from the overall beauty of the piece. What makes matters worse is that everyone who sees the painting makes comments about the pencil marks. I had it reframed to hide the pencil marks at the top of the painting. 🙄

I do try to capture detailed photographs of my work so that you can see exactly what you are buying and there are no surprises but of course once you see something in a painting that you do not like, I accept that it is very hard to 'unsee it'.
