Probably every country has its own subculture of young people known for their aggressive and often unlawful behaviour and a tendency to wear training suits whenever they go. In former Soviet republics they are called Gopniks and were most noticeable in 1990s. A play of words in Russian is used in this artwork, where the second part of word "НАРКОТИК" (narcotic) means a CAT. A white background with a pattern of black shapes representing the winter coat of the stoat adds some "Royalty" to the whole image...
This artwork is difficult to categorise, it is not a painting and not yet a sculpture. Made of a training jacket, oil, and enamel on canvas. Purchased piece will be mounted into the white wooden frame (like on on of the photos of similar work).
Ready to hang. Certificate of Authenticity is included.
