A drawing on tissue paper laid onto a dry acrylic liquid painting allows the the underlying colours and shapes to come through.

the medieval forerunner of chemistry, concerned with the transmutation of matter, in particular with attempts to convert base metals into gold or find a universal elixir.

This piece explores different media and techniques to express quite simply what energy looks and feels like within every day life. The way we move and express ourselves has a direct effect on one another whether looked at from a spiritual or scientific point of view. The various mediums used in this piece reflect this idea, exploring the overlap between science, art and spirituality.

Materials used:

acrylic paint, tissue paper
