THIS PAINTING BELONGS TO THE MUSEO CIVICI IN BASSANO DEL GRAPPA, ITALY.
We find balance everywhere in nature. Like seasons passing from one to the next, two girls playing in the garden reminds us how opposites create harmony. In this scene, one girl is “yes”, while the other is “no”. The opposition of their movements is implied, yet the girls portray a harmonious scene of youth and reminiscence. The delicate purple blooms swaying amongst the girls further inspires our own feelings of nature and balance.
