Artist's description:

I did a small series on desert flora and I was so amazed at the variety and vibrancy of the tough survivours. This is the first one in the series. Its the most common desert plant and is known by the name Agave. Its` used as a common exotic garden plant also.It looks very different if you see a very high definition close-up of it.How can one not get inspired by its beauty! Its again one of the version of Agave as the information on web says.
But my job is to paint them which I have done, taking a lot of artistic liberties here.
