Artist's description:

The brewing history of Royston town goes back centuries. At one point this small town had 24 pubs and 3 breweries! Despite the population being in the low hundreds, Royston has always been a commuter's town as it sits on the crossroads of the old road from London to Scotland, and the old Icknield Way road which stretched far to the east and west. "Ye Old Royston Town" is a painting that celebrates this brewing, travelling history.
