I tried to capture the intense emotion from this scene in Se7en, one of my favourite thrillers of all time and one of Brad Pitt's greatest performances.
I used a piece of charcoal and tissue to blend the base layer of skin, then went wild and messy with my hands, using water on my fingers to smudge and bring more passion to the piece. Creating this was a performance in itself, I lost myself in it, I felt like a crazed contemporary dancer in front of the canvas.
