Original artwork description:

There is something so captivating of standing at the water's edge - listening to the water lapping against the shore, and the birds calling. Capturing the feeling of an early summer morning: the light of sky, the colors of water and the trees reaching up.

This is painted on a linen canvas, one of my favorite painting supports. It has a little tooth, so the paint grabs and doesn't slide round. But it does not interfere with the finished look of the painting like a more aggressive canvas weave.
