Another flight of fancy!

This artwork was painted from imagination and inspired by ancient folklore tales about Herne, a woodland spirit.

The picture depicts the forest coming from the mouth of Herne (also known as the Green Man), acorns ripening on oak branches and red hawthorn berries decorating the leaves like ruby jewels. A small wren watches with a knowing eye. Herne is sitting back in the deep foliage watching silently.

This is another painting that I have kept and enjoyed for a couple of years, but sadly no longer have room to hang, so is looking for a new home.

It painted on a gallery-wrapped canvas and the edges are painted black. It is ready to hang.

Deep-edge canvas, acrylic paint - all artists' quality materials.
