"Wonderland under our feet" is a macro photo of dewdrops on grass blades.
This photo appears to depict an otherworldly landscape somewhere in Wonderland, but it is actually a photograph of the grass beneath our feet. Honestly, I adore capturing such moments! For me, it is like proof of the statement, that we live in a wonderful and magically beautiful world.
I call this photo "Wonderland under our feet." And it is a part of the same collection, which includes macro photos of dewdrops and raindrops on the grass and mosses, that I've captured in our garden and the forest around the house.
Through the photos in the collection, I show how I see the world, and for me, this collection is like photo proof that we live in a wonderful and even magical world! And this magic is in the feelings, in the way our emotions can be changed when we are looking at a beautiful thing, when we are with Nature, enjoying the game of colours and forms. It may appear simple and childish, but it is powerful; it can change one's perspective. The way we perceive the world around us, our world!
This collection is like a manifesto: "Just look what we have under our feet!" "We're walking through Wonderland!"

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Inna Etuvgi, hailing from Russia's Arctic shores, brings her technical background to light as a Swedish art photographer. Her artistic journey began in 2020, and in 2022, she gained recognition as a finalist in the Arte Laguna Prize 16. In 2023, she received an honour from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee. Etuvgi’s works are featured in “Photography in the Visual Culture” 22/23 book.
Navigating life with Aphantasia, Inna's mind doesn't visualise, but it pulsates with vivid concepts, emotions, and sensations. She uses her camera not merely to explore the world but to externalise her unique mental landscapes, making them visible.
Art critic Tabish Khan says about Inna’s art: “her work is about transporting us to other worlds - both real and imaginary, but always in harmony with nature. She may have a mind blind to visualisation, but she has eyes and a camera that capture the beauty in the worlds that the rest of us often overlook and take for granted.”
