Original artwork description:

Abstract, colorful, canvas collage on raw canvas. framed in a natural wood strip frame.

Imagining possibilities, options, wondering aloud.

Layering texture and colour, wash and mark, paint and canvas evolve into something new. Reflecting the joy of movement, my process involves my whole body, large strokes of colour poured or scraped across the canvas punctuated with graphic lines of pastel, graphite and chalk to guide the eye and balance the composition. Finding inspiration in the natural world, I build up my paintings in a very organic way. Working primarily with acrylic paints allows me to work intuitively.

Materials used:

acrylic, ink, spray paint
