This work has been created impulsed by love of antique cars, women's sensuality and shoes' beauty.
I was inspired by Cubans evenings, along with vintage cars, dance and traditions present in the streets.
I imagined my car parked near a Cuban party in the one night, where people were laughing and dancing at the streets in a neighborhood party. Everyone was dancing, mothers with their children and grandparents with their grandchildren. I pictured a girl siting on top of the hood of a car, waiting for his partner to return with he had gone for drinks.
It evokes feelings of beauty in me as well as tenderness and memories of the past, like in those black and white movies. It also conveys seduction and elegance.
This work was drawn in pastels with acrylic paint base. Pastels to represent the softness and dissemination of important areas, and acrylic paint base to provide a strong contrast.
The headlamp has silver glitter to give a realistic shine.
I feel very comfortable working in the range of black and white. It is my first nature because I feel they convey a lot and also because it is the range every art student uses at the beginning.
