This is a favorite view I have painted in all seasons and types of weather. Despite the cold, I wanted to work on site to capture the lovely blanket of snow and majestic beauty of the mountains. "Winter View of the Jemez" was painted on Arches oil paper with palette knives and silicon painting tools so there is texture to the surface. The image size is 15"W x 8.5"H and frame size is 22"W x 15.75"H. The frame is maple and it is matted with an 8ply white rag mat.
"Winter View of the Jemez was juried into the 11th Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) National Members Show in 2019.
