Artist's description:

This inspired me by walking home on the weald in the night following the downs eastward where you can see on your right side the north face all the way along. I was about half mile from the foot. It was late November and the moon was at is most fullest, no clouds in the sky. The presence of the downs whilst walking in the night has such a pull on you, it is hard to describe. I tryed to capture it but using the early morning light so you can see some colours and the detail of trees and shadows.

Materials used:

Oil paint on ply wood board

Winter, North facing, South Downs (2016)
