This plein air artwork of King Henry III tower at Windsor Castle was produced on location using a traditional nib based pen and high quality lightfast inks on hand-made watercolour paper with an abstracted background. This piece is mounted and framed and therefore ready to hang upon receipt.
I am very fond of this artwork. In July 2016 I, with other selected artists, was given permission to paint at specific locations inside the grounds of Windsor Castle. I chose a view of King Henry III tower at the gate house. We had the day to paint plein air before submitting our completed works to a Windsor exhibition for a public vote - this piece being one of two. From a strong field of 90 artists I came third with a very similar piece to this one being displayed.
Although this is a singular piece, it is also complimented well by my series of artwork which explores buildings and places of interest in abstract backgrounds.
Much care and attention is taken in packaging my work for both national and international delivery. This item will be packaged firstly with an acid-free tissue paper to ensure a protective layer and is then sealed in clear plastic cellophane. All corners are protected with cardboard corner protectors. It is then finished with a triple wrapping of bubble wrap with two cardboard sheets on either side and placed into another cardboard covering.
