Mark Rothko may be my favorite artist of all time. He sought to evoke emotion in the viewers of his work by laying broad fields of color on canvas. Sometimes people cried when they stared at his work. I love his color field paintings.
I want to evoke emtion, like Rothko, but rather than any emotion, I want to evoke joy, peace, and positive emotions with my art. Like Rothko, I use layers to create depth and unexpected highlights and shadows in my color field paintings.
The colors teal and magenta make me happy. I hope they make you happy, too.
Abstract color field painting with vibrant colors, including teal, blue, purple, magenta, and red.
20x20x0.75" abstract acrylic painting.
Sides painted black, making this easy to hang without a frame. Artwork is finished with UV resistant satin varnish, signed or initialed on front, labelled with title, date, and artist signature on back.
United States: Painting is shipped stretched on wooden stretcher bars.
International: Buyers are responsible for duties and import taxes. Small paintings are shipped stretched. Large canvas paintings are shipped unstretched and rolled in a tube. This is the safest way to ship a painting, and will help protect your investment. I recommend taking the artwork to a professional framer to have it restretched.
