Limited Edition colour linocut showing a seaside scene at the village of Winchelsea Beach in East Sussex, England.

This is a large linocut made using several carved blocks of lino, one for each colour. The ink is transferred to the paper by rubbing the back with a baren and a wooden spoon. (Takes a while!).

This is an edition of 50, and, as always with linocuts, each print will vary slightly since they are produced by hand. Each print is numbered, titled and signed on the front by me, the artist.

This linocut is inspired by an Open Garden visit to Winchelsea Beach, where I was delighted to discover charming lanes of old-style wooden chalets, streams, and a nature reserve tucked between the road to Rye and the sea.

The linocut is 40cm wide and 29cm high (just under A3 - so fairly large), printed in water-based inks on acid free paper. The actual paper sheet is slightly bigger by several centimetres all round to allow for the signature and framing. The print will be sent with a backing board and cellophane wrap. A frame and mount for an A3 image should fit this easily.

For international orders, the artwork will be rolled with acid-free tissue paper and delivered in a tube without a mount.
