Artist's description:

This is my first tennis focused art piece. I’m a huge fan of tennis and grew up playing school tennis competitions in North Queensland. I wanted to express the similarities I see in dance and tennis as each perform in a balance of strength and finesse. I spent a long time sketching various actions and movements before this pose came to me. The emerald green was my first choice as it summed up the feelings I felt when playing for the first time- on grass.

I’ve created my own charcoal application technique, which enables me to present a smooth finish on canvas. I use charcoal in all my art to express the contrasts of life and death through realistic views. I use colour to express emotion and movement. This piece has sections of my made-up resin-like effects throughout too.

My Expressive realism street art style paintings have been sold to collectors throughout Europe, America, Asia, Australasia and Africa. This may be the piece which speaks to you like it felt for me creating, though if not, feel free to contact me to commission your idea, inspired by your personal interests and desires. I'm always interested to learn from something new and different.
