Artist's description:

I was inspired to paint this pink, high energy, abstract expressionism piece when thinking about confetti and what it represents in our lives. There's a baseline joy we feel at celebratory events, which kicks into high gear when the confetti is tossed.

The painting, to me, is a reminder to aim for that baseline joy on a daily basis, appreciating the high energy moments of elation as they come into our lives -- whether infrequent or frequent.

Using layers and layers of paint, I toned down the pinks and opted for pure colors near the top to express intensity.

This is a one-of-a-kind artwork painted by me, Kelly McAtee, and will arrive with a certificate of authenticity.

Materials used:

professional grade acrylic paints and blending mediums
