Artist's description:

At the start of 2016 I sort of decided to paint a load of Buddhas, of all shapes and sizes .... Im still at it now , and its the beginning of march now...Its like a new years ritual that turned into a big project,as it were.. Iv worked organically, keeping my nose close to the ground...Following my underneath patterns,Being true to my roots and aspirations. Honoring my ancestors and my own journey . And to be honest, its not been pretty,,,Anyhows this picc is part of a growing family of Buddhas, That have branched out into many groupings and sizes ..
The figures in this series are rooted in seating meditation posture. But at the same time floating in space. The backgrounds are alive with floating words, sounds, truths, cures obscenities ...But the figures are not bothered about any of that,,,,
this series is about facing up to yourself , your trauma, Warts and all...And being able to move passed that,,And be freer..In yourself and the world around you ...
The painting is on extra rough Bockingford watercolour paper and there is a boarder around the painting of about one inch.
