Original artwork description:

A mackerel sky one morning gave me the final piece to the puzzle I needed to create this glass and ceramic mosaic art work. It is a progression on older works; birds that live in the sun; Bella from "Bella's Secret"; and many more things that begin with the letter "B"!
I wanted to cram as many flying things into the sun as I could. It is a safe place for them, safe and warm, they don't burn up there.
The flying things in the sky are made of iridescent white glass, the changing colours giving the impression of movement.
I made the mosaic using the direct method, cement tile adhesive onto cement board.
The mosaic is framed in a black wood frame and ready to hang on a wall in your home.

Materials used:

stained glass, ceramic tile
