Last year I won a painting competition and one of the prizes was a painting holiday in Cornwall. It was an amazing experience and one that set me on a much looser more painterly journey. This is one of the paintings I did while I was there although later I re-did it in a much more vibrant style. I decided to call it 'Where it all began' because I have the painting holiday to thank for the new more colourful and freer direction that my art has taken.
It is painted in a thick impasto style using a palette knife and the sides are also painted so it doesn't need framed.
