Artist's description:

Photo taken in Kenya 2011 during a research expedition focused on Elephants. We came across a herd of 50 plus mature Bull Elephants surrounded by thick bush. It almost seemed like a meeting of great minds. There they were seemingly standing in silence but perhaps speaking in some kind of telepathic language between each other. And perhaps on the state of the Elephant populations in Africa. Not that long ago if you were on Safari it was possible to come across a large Tusker - A mature Bull with enormous tasks weighing several tonne each. Today this Bull is lucky to still have his tusks in tact for his fore bothers have been shot and killed for their ivory. This is what remains when we disconnect from nature and believe ivory looks better on a mantle piece!

Materials used:

SLR camera, printing on archival canvas or fine art photographic paper
