Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This is my favourite painting I've ever done. I'm actually reluctant to sell it! I think it shows my developing style perfectly- I've always had a flat graphic style that you can definitely see in my copic marker work, but I also like to paint in quite a realistic way. Sometimes it's a struggle between the two styles, but here I've married it well. I've abbreviated parts of it to make the detail more apparent and it has overall harmony.
I also think this is undeniably cheerful- how could you resist this cheeky guy on your wall every morning?

I love nothing more than a well dressed man, and I came across this guy in Starbucks, Osaka, Japan at 3am in the morning. I was drinking a matcha latte and waiting for the 5am train back to my apartment.
The boy came in with a friend, and I was astounded how well dressed he was for 3am! I wanted a photo of him but I didn't know enough Japanese to ask.

Luckily, he and his friend came over and requested a photo of my husband, who they thought was very cool and well dressed. My husband posed in return for a photo of the boy. I loved that he pulled such a goofy pose for me- he was all shades of adorable!
