The wedge-tailed eagle or bunjil (Aquila audax), sometimes known as the eaglehawk, is the largest bird of prey in Australia, and is also found in southern New Guinea, part of Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. They are amazing birds...There is a large nest just behind our house in a very large tree...They fly around majestically, probably sourcing the large bush rats that live in the forest behind us...
This is most probably a young male, due to the colouring...
