I like to shoot most of my landscape work around the golden hours as the light is so beautiful, but what was really drawing my eye in on the subject this day was the motion of the waves around the pier, and I wanted to capture this in my image. So I slowed the exposure down just enough to show the motion of the waves on the sand and around the pier while retaining some detail in the water.

This image was shortlisted in the Times Photography competition. And has been exhibited in the UK and Australia.
