Artist's description:

'Waterfall, Where Will I Be When I Go Back?' is an acrylic painting of a strong waterfall.

The main colours are tones of Jade green, with brighter greens and blue tones throughout. The rocks that surround the waterfall are dark with the lighter water cascading down into a frothing pool at the base of this 6ft long painting.

This painting was part of a Waterfall collection painted in the spring of 2014, it was inspired by a Spring walk the Artist took in 'The Hermitage'.
A stretch of magical Scottish Perthshire forest which was originally designed as a pleasure ground in the 18th century for the Dukes of Atholl.
Douglas firs tower over the paths leading to the roaring Black Linn Falls, where the River Braan crashes down into the deep, foaming pools below.
After a visit to this location, Gillies started producing a number of waterfall paintings, this painting was the largest of the set.
