Original artwork description:

Acropolis view in Athens. Athens series.
I painted this work during an open air in Greece.

My painting devoted to my travels in different countries.
I love the sea, boats, waves, splashes, yellow sand, the cries of seagulls.
When traveling, I am infinitely inspired by seascapes and port cities.

Almost all the work I draw in the open air: seagulls fly around me, waves rustle, the wind blows, hot sand under my feet, sky and clouds above my head.
Impressionism is very close to me and I paint my works quickly, convey my impression at the moment.

I create a portal to this city.
The work is saturated with the sounds of this city, water and wind. I believe that work carries the spirit of travel and helps to turn your most audacious dreams of distant seas and countries into reality.

WHY WATERCOLOR?
In any trip, watercolor is with me, because it is lightweighted and does not require much space.
I can take it on any trip, even if I have several hours of climbing uphill.
Believe me, once in Mexico I painted a sketch at an altitude of 4300 meters on the Popocatepetl volcano overlooking the Istaxiuatl volcano))) Yes, it was not easy to climb to, even more so, but the views and air were worth it. And it always comes like this)

WHY WATERCOLOR?
Watercolor is an amazing and complex technique.

Watercolor requires precision, confidence and a lot of experience to make it light, transparent, to convey atmosphere and mood. One awkward or inaccurate movement and the work is spoiled.
Unlike oil and not acrylicpaint , it is impossible to erase and paint here again with watercolor.
On one hand, it is necessary to think over each step in advance and keep in mind a plan of action.
On the other hand, it is necessary to give freedom to yourself and watercolor , so that the watercolor can come out sonorous, light and expressive.

When I paint, it is always a game.
Sometimes the watercolor flows and creates its own game with water and paper, sometimes it obediently follows the brush in my hand. And only I can decide when to give her freedom, and when to send it in the direction I need.
This is the way my works are born out of exact calculation, play, improvisation and freedom.
I hope now you too understand why I choose watercolor indeed 🙂

QUALITY OF MATERIALS
I want to assure you that for me , it’s very important not only the visual impression,
but also the longevity of my works. I work only with professional manufacturers of paper and paints.
This protects my paintings from ultraviolet radiation and makes them durable. I use professional paper made from pure 100% cotton from manufacturers such as: arches, fabriano, sunders, canson heritage. And the watercolor of such brands as: daniel smith, sennelier, holbein, mijello. These are professional colors, their properties are confirmed by ASTM (the American Society for Testing and Materials (the ASTM), the largest independent standards writing body in the world.)

GIFT : A POST CARD
It is very important for me that my works bring joy, happiness, cause a smile and a desire to contemplate and stare. I am always very happy about the new home for my work and always put 2 postcards, you can see them in one of the photos. I sign one, and the second is clean, so that you can deal with it at your discretion) Maybe you like postcrossing? I will be glad to receive a postcard from you)

FRAMING OF WORK
When you receive my work, take it to a baguette workshop to choose a frame to your taste and interior.
I recommend that all watercolor works be additionally included into a passe-partout that you can also choose to your taste.
If you are uncertain when choosing a passe-partout and frame, choose a white passe-partout and a white, not very wide wooden frame. This is a classic design and most of the watercolors look very good in it.
You can see examples on the photos.
