This image of a Grey Heron was from a photo by Roger Smith. It has been the inspiration for a painting and several prints. This woodcut woodcut is inspired by the tall elegance, yet primeval nature of the bird, with a background of tall reeds.
This image was selected by Devon Life to illustrate the current exhibition by Press Gang Printers at Harbour House Kingsbridge.
Two editions of this print have already been sold in this years exhibitions
This is an UNFRAMED PRINT on handmade paper, but I have included an image of how it could look when framed.

Materials used:

Hand made paper, printed with Caligo Relief Inks, Japanese Shina Plywood plate
