Artwork description:

This print was created in Watchet and takes its inspiration from an iconic rock that has been pushed through the rock floor on West Beach in Watchet. Everytiime I come to Watchet I am drawn to this rock, considering it my 'Cezanne Mountain', acting as my muse, exploring its shape, form and the colours it produces through out the day, as I sketch and observe over time.

I have made a series of this image, exploring and playing with its form, of which many of these prints and drawing can be seen here on Artfinder. I am drawn to its existence and how it was formed through the years past, and its continual evolution through the entropy of weathering and aging. I am sure this will keep me busy for many a year, acting as my mountain and my rock.

Waterbased Printing Ink, Lacquer, 230 gsm Cartridge Paper Stock.
