Artist's description:

I was inspired to create this artwork because I needed to convey my thoughts and capture a claim against the war and against the lack of help to fight hunger.

I attempt to surprise, exalt and make the viewer meditate about our world, through this crazy idea of having cheese weapons. I felt the need to capture my frustration about war and hunger and put it on paper, where I can express myself better.

I was lying on my bed, thinking about the world, our past and where we are heading as human beings. I thought that with all the bullets that were fired in all wars of this world if instead of spreading death, had distributed food, not only the hunger would be over in the world, but also the world would be more human.

The machine gun is a tribute to World War II, where many people died. The cheese triangles reminded me of my childhood (besides, I like cheese). I used to eat this cheese triangles and the feeling it conveys to me is very positive. Having that pointed shape, they give the impression it can be weaponry. It's a metaphorical idea of sending food and not cause harm to anyone.

I just hope that in some other version of our world, in a different parallel universe perhaps, they took this form of war instead of the one we have.
