Artist's description:

I was fortunate to have lived in Ruthin for many years and have enjoyed the many exhibitions at Ruthin Craft Centre - for contemporary applied arts. It is there that I was introduced to many contemporary ceramic artists and have been fortune enough to meet some of them and work with their exhibitions with community and schools groups. I often find the time spent with the pieces gives me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the work, leading to needing to purchase an item. So I now have a small collection of contemporary ceramic jugs from which I paint. This is one of the last pieces I painted in my log cabin studio at the end of the garden, before my first child was born and then we later moved house.
