Original artwork description:

Voorburg – 27-08-19

Another drawing of a clairobscur forest lane at Park Sonnenburgh in Voorburg, Netherlands, conveniently lingering about around the corner of where I work. I kept this sketch rather rough in my typical diagonal hatched strokes avoiding lines running in the direction of the contour delineation of the tree trunks. It causes a kind of pleasant blur that works rather at an impressionistic level.

Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Winsor & Newton paper (21 x 14.8 x 0.1 cm – A5 format)
Artist: Corné Akkers
