Artist's description:

This painting was inspired by Tracks, the story of Robyn Davidson’s 1976 solo trek across the Australian desert. As I read the book I became intrigued by Robyn’s deepening awareness of the aboriginal way of understanding time, the earth, and creation. I think of this painting as a protective figure watching over spiritual journeys.

Signed on the front and back, wired and ready to hang. The sides of the gallery-wrapped canvas are painted black so it can be hung unframed. Sealed with archival varnish.
