Another very gestural landscape that, by now and with a few recent ones, is definitely confirming a new direction that my paintings have been taking. The image represents a spectacular view from the Parliament Hill in London towards the city's tallest building - The Shard, and an oncoming storm that was soon to engulf the city. This painting takes further the exploration of how the paint has been applied onto, and moved around canvas and, how the colour is used. Please *note* that this piece has been painted on a primed greyboard and not canvas. This however does not reduce its value and longevity but will require a good framer to house it in an adequate frame.
