Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

A very powerful piece about life-threatening experiences.
By definiton, a vicious circle is "a sequence of reciprocal cause and effect in which two or more elements intensify and aggravate each other, leading inexorably to a worsening of the situation."
How does one get out of a vicious circle?
One of the elements involved has got to be exterminated so that the situation may stop spiraling down.
But who will accept to step back and at what cost?
The gun symbolizes the end of the vicious circle by shooting at the devilish element with a reference to temptation (the apple),
The female character seems surprised that things have gone out of control which is quite a scary experience.
The only thing one can wish for is for it to end but once embarked on such a journey, noone really knows how it will end.

This painting uses mixed media (vintage pictures for the gun and lettering only - in dye transfer) and transparency techniques so to create a more dramatic effect (i.e. shooting movement towards the head has been accentued through textures and lines)

Materials used:

Ink, dye transfer, crackle paste, mortar, gesso, fibers
