Intense and vibrant, this painting features a special flower species with a unique characteristic. The daylily is named for it's blossoms which each only last one day before wilting and making way for another. I love how something so fleeting can be so triumphantly spectacular and beautiful. It brings to mind the saying, "Thrive where you're planted".

The daylily ( Hemerocallis fulva ) is an introduced species in North America. Though it originally came from Asia, it now blooms wild in many parts of the Pacific Northwest region of the United States.

This painting is sold unframed. If you would like for me to frame it for you, I have beautiful frames I would be happy to place it in for you. Send me a message and I can share the options with you. The price for a frame starts at $40 and varies by style.
