Painting: Oil and cold wax on Wood.
Size 60 H x 60 W x 2 cm
This is an oil painting on cradled wood panel using a cold wax medium. This image is a product of memory, materials and ideas. Although primarily abstract, there are visual suggestions of eroded pathways and straggling undergrowth. Forgotten landscapes, calligraphic marks and textures exist side by side within the boundaries of a warm diffused colour field.
The additional photographs provide a clearer understanding of the translucency, subtlety and rich texture of the surface.
