Here is my first foray into sculpture. I spent 40 years building expensive houses and have an 800 s.f. workshop full of every kind of tool you can think of (see second page of "me at work") in addition to tons of exotic lumber. So why not?

This piece is made of tulip poplar, a large hardwood tree that is common in my part of the world. I have stained it with Minwax "special walnut" and applied a paste wax.
