Set of three miniature flower vases.
Lampwork is the processing of glass where a torch or a lamp is primarily used to melt the glass. The principle is to slowly introduce glass rods into the flame. The glass is heated until molten, wound around a specially-coated steel mandrel, forming the base bead. I usually use this technique to create glass beads for my jewellery. In this case I created a set of miniature vases. The finished vases I have worked with fine sandpaper to roughen the surface to create the appearance of clay, instead of the typical glossy glass finish.
The sizes given refer to the largest vase, the diameter is the same in all the three vases.
