Artist's description:

A return to simple black and white much like the smaller works on paper only this time on a large canvas using black paint, which was thinned to a more fluid consistency.

A lot of my work is simply done in black and white and someone had once asked why do I favor black over colors. My answer was pretty simple....

For starters, while aesthetically pleasing to look at, I like to use black as it allows the viewer to get lost in the painting and to interpret for themselves what they see without the distraction of colors. Each person sees something different and in a way, I've painted a different picture for each individual person within the one painting.

Also, black is -- on the spectrum -- the absorption of all colors, so in a way, these works are actually the most colorful of all my works.
