I love to paint. In fact, I paint almost every day. At art festivals, at galleries, in my studio, inside, outside. I love to paint. Sometimes I paint larger works that take days or weeks, but sometimes I do small quick studies. This is one of those. I paint these "small" 11"x14" paintings everywhere. They are a lot of fun to paint in public, since patrons can watch them come to life.
This painting is part of my "Creation Series". This series is one of my favorite. Mandalas and trees are both often showcased in my paintings. To me the mandalas represent balance, harmony and unity. They are symbolic of the universe. Trees represent life and growth. They are a symbolic of wisdom, strength, beauty, and protection.
In this series one mandala represents the sun and new beginnings. The tree is representative of of the continual twists and turns swirls and curves of life.
