Original artwork description:

Two robin birds seem to be discussing the winter that's shortly going to land on them! Will they be able to have enough food? Will they be able to sing in the harsh and cold winter too?

We all know that a robin sings in summer to attract its mate but its song in winter means that the bird has built up enough fat reserves to survive the cold nights and has enough energy left to defend its territory! Winters are harsh on the animal kingdom, from getting food to keeping warm to survive in the open! So what can we do to help them?

Very simple, keep feed for them throughout the year, especially in winter and you get rewarded with their sweet chirpings of happy contentment! The least we can do to keep the environment healthy! Luckily Robin population is not dwindling and is at a healthy number; unlike many other species!

We have robins in India too these were classified in the "thrush" family. These are larger than the European robins and are darker in colour with the male being mainly black with a white shoulder patch or stripe whose visible extent can vary with posture. The females are brownish above, have no white shoulder stripe and are greyish below, with the vent a paler shade of chestnut than the males. Will paint these too someday!
