Trust" comes from the "Deep" series of works.
Trust is an extremely deep feeling that often has to be worked out first. How much trust does it take to put yourself in such a hanging and delivered situation? And what is it like to be so hung up? Does it hurt? Why does one do this to oneself? These are questions that the artist inevitably asked herself when creating this work. It was extremely attractive to paint an unconventional work, a work that explores boundaries. Sussi Hodel took the Japanese bondage art Shibari as her inspiration.
