Artist's description:

Part of being an artist is experimenting with color, materials, technique, and, and..... :) I could go on forever. This type of exploring gives me butterflies.

This canvas features raw pigment that I loosely milled by hand in poppy oil preserving the grainy texture. With varied thicknesses and consistencies, I scattered the thick mixture around the canvas. Incorporating gravity, I then tilted the canvas in each direction to spread the color and eventually drip down the sides.

This canvas is very deep and features yummy drips of paint running down the sides, adding lots of dimension. Great for displaying on a shelf, counter, or even on an easel if you wish.
